5.3m tune in for Richard tribute show

The show, which replaced the planned Rogue Traders transmission between 8pm and 8.30pm, looked at the life and career of ex-EastEnders star Wendy Richard after she passed away yesterday.
The MasterChef final, which saw the winner crowned, took an average of 5.16m (20.9%) for BBC Two during the 8pm hour, peaking with 5.99m (23.5%) at 8.50pm.
4.32m watched The Bill on ITV1, while Channel 4's 10 Years Younger: The Challenge interested 1.69 (6.9%). Five managed 990k (4%) with Steam Train Monster Moves, a documentary which followed professionals in their attempt to transport a vintage locomotive across two continents.
Billy Connolly: Journey To The Edge Of The World led the 9pm hour for ITV1 with an average of 4.33m (18.3%), beating BBC Two's much-hyped drama Margaret, which drew 2.58m (12%). BBC One's Crimewatch had a solid performance, logging 4.08m (17.3%).
Love, Life, Death In A Day, Sue Bourne's Cutting Edge film, took 1.75m (7.4%) for Channel 4, and Five managed an average of 1.09m (5.3%) with mystery thriller Freedomland between 9pm and 11.15pm.
BBC One had a comfortable lead in primetime with an average share of 22.2% to ITV1's 17%. BBC Two was third on 12.5%, followed by Channel 4 on 6.8% (+1: 0.8%) and Five on 4.1%.
Elsewhere, the UEFA Cup Live grabbed 1.09m for ITV4 at 7pm, while the next episode of Skins attracted 760k for E4 at 10pm.
At 9pm, forensic drama Bones took 573k (2.7%) for Sky1, beating ITV2's Paris Hilton's British Best Friend, which averaged 461k (2.2%) during the hour.
