The UKTV special will be hosted by John Cleese, who will be joined by co-stars Andrew Sachs and Prunella Scales, according to The Sun.
A source said: "Fawlty Towers is almost everyone's favourite sitcom so there will be a huge appetite for this.
"John will be rooting around for some of the best clips and talking through his favourite bits. And there will be some unseen footage that hit the cutting room floor too. It will be a real trip down memory lane for fans."
The sitcom, which ran for just 12 episodes in the late 1970s, was dreamed up by Cleese following a visit to a hotel in Torquay.
