Matt Lucas 'plans Jewish sitcom'

Matt Lucas has revealed that he is planning to write a sitcom about the Anglo-Jewish experience.

The Little Britain star told an audience at the West London Synagogue that the provisional title of the show is Four Generations.

He did not confirm whether or not he planned to appear in the programme himself.

Lucas said: "I want to produce a sitcom that will address many of the contemporary issues that affect British Jews such as intermarriage and a decline in observance."

Of his younger days in the community, Lucas added: "I was fat, bald and worried about my sexuality - so I never really felt accepted by society."
