Crossroads has confirmed that it will return to ITV next Spring, broadcasting five nights a week.
Former star Jane Rossington will head the lineup, which also features a host of celebrities. "To have been part of a programme which made television history was wonderful - and to be back at Crossroads as the series is reborn is really exciting," she said.
Former Coronation Street star Sherrie Hewson, who played Maureen Grimes before being axed, will join as receptionist Virginia Raven. Tony Adams will play Adam Chance, and Last of the Summer Wine's Kathy Staff will play Doris Luke.
Sharon Bloom, Executive Producer of the series, said, "We'll be introducing some powerful new characters and storylines whilst retaining many of the aspects that made Crossroads such a well-loved programme for so many years."
