As MTV readies LOGO for launch, NBC Universal-owned Trio has announced that it plans to add a weekly gay programming block to its schedule.
The OUTzone will launch on Saturday, September 18. Accompanying a Dame Edna marathon will be season two of Kath & Kim, along with various films, documentaries and music specials.
"Trio has always been drawn to the cutting edge of culture and the kitschy-cool sensibility that is so associated with the gay community. OUTzone creates a regular viewing experience where our viewers can go to find both overtly gay programming and programming that has captured the imagination of gay audiences," explained Trio president Lauren Zalaznick.
