Madeley draws 3.7m for Piers Morgan show

The final instalment of Piers Morgan's Life Stories drew 3.66m (19.7%) for ITV1 last night, according to overnight viewing figures.

The 10pm show, which saw Richard Madeley reveal details about his love life and his abusive father, failed to beat the series high of 4.98m (28.4%), which saw Katie Price admitting to being sexually abused.

Earlier, the penultimate episode of Lewis performed well for the channel, drawing 6.31m (25.3%) between 8pm and 10pm.

Antiques Roadshow logged 5.69m (23.3%) for BBC One at 8pm. The audience then dropped to 3.46m (13.7%) during the screening of The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency.

BBC Two's Yes We Can! The Lost Art Of Oratory put in 760k (3.2%) between 7.45pm and 9pm, and drama Five Minutes Of Heaven - starring Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt - attracted 2.19m (9.1%) between 9pm and 10.30pm.

Over on Channel 4, Come Dine With Me was seen by 2.59m (10.6%) at 9pm, and 3.21m (12.7%) then tuned in for the third episode of Secret Millionaire.

Five's film fest kicked off with Mr Deeds, which delivered 1.08m (4.7%) between 7.15pm and 9pm. Fun With Dick And Jane followed, drawing 1.16m (5%) between 9pm and 10.45pm.

Overall, ITV1 led primetime with an average share of 21.5% to BBC One's 19.1%. Channel 4 was third with 9.4% (+1: 1.2%), followed by BBC Two with 8% and Five with 4.7%.

Elsewhere, Lost drew 834k (3.6%) for Sky1 at 9pm, beating ITV2's Supernatural, which averaged 608k (2.6%) during the hour.

The new episode of Desperate Housewives managed 382k (2.2%) for E4 at 10pm, just ahead of Sky1's Fringe, which took 349k (2.1%).
