The single drama - loosely based on the Jacobean tragedy The Changeling - is described as a tragic story of desire and lust.
Winstone will star as a dark character called Flowers, alongside Bend It Like Beckham star Parminder Nagra, who will portray the character of Anjika Indrani.
"Flowers is a difficult character to play because usually you want to like the people you are playing but that was hard in his case," said Winstone of his new role.
"Flowers has been put in a position of trust but then, as far as I’m concerned, steps right out of line and abuses that trust. There is something not quite right about him, it’s a bit disturbing."
The one-off drama is due to air in May.
