The latest episode of The Apprentice performed well for BBC One, according to overnight viewing figures.
7.44m (31%) tuned in for the third episode of the reality series, which saw Majid Nagra become the latest candidate to be fired by Sir Alan.
ITV1's documentary Superhuman: World's Tallest Children, which featured a 13-year-old boy measuring seven foot and four inches, logged 2.42m (10.1%), and 1.01m (4.2%) watched Five's Extraordinary People: The World's Heaviest Man Gets Married.
Grand Designs pulled in 2.59m (10.8%) for Channel 4, and the third installment of Alan Whicker's Journey Of A Lifetime grabbed 1.54m (6.4%).
Earlier, at 8pm, the latest trip to Waterloo Road took 4m (17.8%) for BBC One, while 4.62m (20.6%) tuned in for The Bill on ITV1.
Five's new series Oil Riggers was seen by 1.44m (6.4%), and the second in Channel 4's Willie's Chocolate Revolution series interested 1.53m (6.8%).
Jo Brand's BBC Two series The Speaker managed a slight increase on yesterday's performance, drawing 900k.
Overall, BBC One came top during primetime with an average share of 22.2% to ITV1's 18.7%. Channel 4 was third with 7.5% (+1: 0.8%), followed by BBC Two with 6.9% and Five's 4.6%.
Elsewhere, the new episode of Gossip Girl pulled in 178k (0.8%) for ITV2 at 9pm, just ahead of Living's new series Eleventh Hour, which grabbed 162k (0.7%).
The third episode of Charlie Brooker's Newswipe managed 187k (1.3%) for BBC Four between 10.30pm and 11pm.
