New 'Golden Girls' for Turkish TV

The classic show will be revamped for broadcast as a 13-part miniseries on the Turkish satellite broadcaster ATV.
The series will star Hulya Kocyigit as Dorothy, Nevra Serezli as Blanche, Turkan Soray as Rose, and Fatma Girik as Sophia, according to Variety.
The US version of the series, which starred Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, Betty White and Estelle Getty, aired on NBC for seven seasons from 1985.
The Golden Girls won ten Emmy Awards over the course of its run.
