Gazza to appear on 'Celeb Wipeout'?

Paul Gascoigne will appear in a forthcoming episode of Celebrity Wipeout, say reports.

According to The Sun, the England footballer has been participating in "intensive training" for Richard Hammond's BBC One series.

"Gazza's been training hard and will blow them all away," said a source.

Gascoigne, who was sectioned under the Mental Health Act in 2008, recently revealed that he nearly died last year while in rehab battling drink and drug addictions. The sports star has made several public appearances in the last month, including a spot on Match Of The Day 2 last week.

Two celebrity Total Wipeout specials will air later this year along with a second full series.

I'm A Celebrity... champion Christopher Biggins revealed to DS last month that he turned down an offer to appear on the show.
