'Underage And Pregnant' for BBC Three
BBC Three has commissioned a new season of programmes focusing on being young and growing up in Britain in 2009.

The Growing Up Season will begin with two series following teenage girls as they prepare to become adults.

Underage And Pregnant centres on the real-life story of life as a pregnant school girl and teenage mum, while The Grown Up Girls follows five pairs of teenage girls who face a similar and potentially life-changing decision.

"This season aims to explore the boundaries between being an adult and a child, and how these appear to be changing in Britain today," said BBC Three controller Danny Cohen.

"We want to start a conversation with our audience about the age of adult responsibility - and the dangers of growing up too fast."

Also being screened as part of the season are Daddy's Little Princess, Baby Beauty Queens and Britain's Most Embarrassing Parents.
