The lid may already have been lifted on the upcoming fourth season of 24, a full five months before the show returns to screens in the States.
The usually-reliable Ain't It Cool spoilers website has posted of what it claims are details taken from the first four episodes of the new season.
As we were previously told, most of the cast wouldn't be returning this time round; the notable exception being our hero Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). In the opening episode there is a passing reference to Jack's daughter Kim and her partner, amputee-survivor Chase, who are now living away together.
Contrary to previous rumours, it seems as if CTU will be back after all - with a new stern director named Driscoll (a female). Driscoll apparently fired Jack some time after the end of season three over his drug problem.
Chloe, who is still working at CTU, appears to have a larger role this season (some reports had indicated that the character would not be returning at all). In the first few episodes she breaks protocol by helping out Jack, who becomes a rogue fugitive after learning that terrorists are targetting the secretary of defence, who happens to be the father of his new girlfriend Audrey.
