'Hope Springs' heads to BBC One
BBC One has announced it will air a new family drama called Hope Springs.

The show follows the fortunes of Ellie, Hannah, Shoo and Josie, four ex-cons who are trying to go straight.

When the women's plan to start a new life in Barbados - courtesy of £3 million stolen from Ellie's vengeful husband - goes wrong, they find themselves hiding in a Scottish village called Hope Springs.

Alex Kingston, Sian Reeves, Christine Bottomley and Vinette Robinson play the four principal characters, while the supporting cast is made up of stars including Annette Crosbie, Paul Higgins and Alec Newman.

The eight-part escapist drama is expected to air later this year on BBC One.
