Kelly to host talent show

Coming to our screens soon is another singing-based talent contest in the vein of Pop Idol and Fame Academy from the BBC. The difference here is that all of the competitors admit to not being able to sing.
Lorraine Kelly, presenter of GMTV and House Hunters, is to compere the show, Can't Sing Singers, in which 48 contestants will try to learn to sing tunefully over the series.
The BBC seems confident that their choice of host will be a key element of the show's appeal - "Lorraine is the perfect host for the show and she'll be giving them lots of encouragement."
Similar to the BBC's recent venture Fame Academy, it will be the job of professional coaches to cast off the worst of the contestants as the show goes on. Auditions for the show were held earlier this month.
Can't Sing Singers will run for 12 weeks and will climax in a grand live final in December.
