Brambles, 42, who used to work for GMTV, announced that she would be leaving the programme while on air yesterday.
"I initially wanted to cut down my workload on Loose Women but the anchor role requires a full commitment, which I no longer felt able to make," she said.
"Therefore, I've decided that I will be leaving the show in August when my current contract ends. As well as having some more time to be at home with my two very young children I will be focusing on developing some exciting new ventures in broadcasting and related areas."
ITV's director of daytime and lifestyle Fiona Kennaghan said that Brambles would be "missed by everyone".
"Jackie's contribution to Loose Women has been immense," said Kennaghan. "Over the past few years she has helped mould the show into the success it is today."
