Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall is to be the star of a new £3 million advertising campaign for Tetley tea, according to The Mirror today.
In the ads, Kim, who played Samantha on the hit US TV show, visits her auntie's house for some advice. She soon reveals that she is desperate for a man, but her aunt - named Auntea - thinks that a cup of tea could be the answer to all of her problems.
Auntea soon offers Kim some camomile to help her sleep, but comments, "Mind you, you don't waste much time sleeping do you love!"
Tetley's marketing manager Andrew Dobson explained, "This is a huge launch for us. Kim is ideal as we expect more women to drink the new teas."
Kim admitted, "My mother is a huge tea drinker and Tetley's is her favourite".
The adverts are due to begin airing next month.
