'Touch Of Frost' films three endings

ITV has filmed three endings for David Jason's A Touch Of Frost finale, it has been announced.

Jason has reprised his role as Detective Inspector Jack Frost for the final time in a two-part Frost finale.

The episodes in question, titled 'If Dogs Run', follow Frost's battle to convict Gerry Berland, a dangerous criminal masquerading as a successful businessman. After being tipped off to an illegal dogfight by RSPCA officer Christine Moorshead, Frost attempts a raid.

The story will also see the detective investigate a series of homicides which appear to mirror crimes that he failed to solve over 16 years ago. Frost then faces a race against time to stop the copycat killer from striking again.

Jason said of the reprisal: "I thoroughly enjoy playing Jack Frost, he’s been a huge part of my acting life after more than 40 episodes, and I’ll give him a dramatic and fitting send off, whichever ending we decide to screen."

"It’s been tremendous working with Sir David Jason on such a long running and successful series," said ITV's David Reynolds. "The final episodes are a dramatic conclusion to what has been one of TV’s best loved crime dramas."

Jason and producer Reynolds will apparently decide which ending is screened after all three have been shot.
