'EastEnders' writer pens new drama series
BBC Three has announced that it has commissioned a new drama called Personal Affairs.

The series, starring Laura Aikman, Annabel Scholey, Maimie McCoy and Ruth Negga and penned by former EastEnders writer Gabbie Asher, follows the fortunes of four personal assistants living in the City.

"For me, Personal Affairs truly captures the unique experience of working in an office with a group of girls - the fun, the friendship, the bickering, the hopes and dreams, the tears and the personal dilemmas that arise every day," said creator Asher.

"Friendship is at the heart of this drama as the girls help one another navigate through a myriad of life choices, with varying success!"

Mark Benton, Robert Gant, Archie Panjabi, Darren Boyd, Emily Bruni, Jamie Davis and former EastEnder Joe Absolom have also been cast in the drama series.
