Aherne pens 'Fattest Man In Britain'

Caroline Aherne has written a new comedy for ITV called The Fattest Man In Britain, say tabloid reports.

According to The Sun, the 90-minute show is a comedy about an obese man called Georgie, who is aiming to become the largest person in the country. However, he faces a problem when tourists begin flocking to his house to see the spectacle.

Auf Wiedersehen, Pet's Timothy Spall will take the lead role. Jeff Pope co-wrote the script with the 45-year-old Royle Family star.

An ITV spokesperson said: "We are hoping [Caroline] will stay with the channel."
