Sykes confirms 'This Morning' interest

The TV host was first linked to the job in March, with insiders describing the competition as a "one-horse race".
Sykes has now confirmed that she is hoping to secure the position, though she has not yet received a formal approach from producers.
Speaking to The Mirror, she admitted: "Obviously it would be a great gig. Who wouldn't want to do it? But I haven't been approached yet. I would love to work with Phillip [Schofield] though."
Sykes presented daytime chatshow Today With Des And Mel alongside Des O'Connor from 2002 to 2006. More recently, she has appeared on Loose Women and hosted shows for Radio 2.
Britton revealed that she had decided to quit This Morning in March. She will front her final episode in July.
