Marge Simpson to deliver C4's Xmas message
Marge Simpson will go head-to-head with the Queen by giving Channel 4's annual Alternative Christmas Message this year, The Sun reported today.

The production team behind the hit animation are specially creating the ten-minute sermon, which will also feature appearances from Homer, Bart, Lisa and Maggie.

"This is the only time I can think of we've done anything of this length," said supervising producer David Silverman. "We haven't done anything like this for any other country."

The Alternative Christmas Message, which airs each year at the same time as the Queen's traditional annual address, has previously been delivered by the likes of Ali G, Rory Bremner and Sharon Osbourne.

Marge's turn in the hotseat coincides with the high-profile, multi-million pound move of The Simpsons from the BBC to Channel 4.
