Trisha quits ITV, moves to Five

The popular TV host, who has worked with ITV for six years, will front a new morning talkshow on Five from early next year. A number of primetime projects are also planned as part of the deal.
The 46-year-old said "emotional upheaval" had influenced her decision to switch networks: both her mother and her best friend have died in the past year.
"I've had six fantastic years at ITV and been fortunate enough to work with some great people," said Goddard. "However, emotional upheaval can make one re-evaluate one's life, and I know in my heart that it's time for a change.
"I feel the need to refresh and reinvigorate my television career and I've been really impressed by the energy and enthusiasm evident in Five's approach."
Goddard's departure from ITV comes as no surprise; rumours have been rife in recent months that she would be jumping ship once her contract came up for renewal.
ITV has yet to comment on the news, nor a replacement, although previous reports have tipped former Crossroads actress Sherrie Hewson, TV psychologist Linda Papadopoulos, TV host Matthew Wright and Loose Women host Kay Adams as possible contenders.
