New host, format for 'Are You Smarter?'

Sky1's Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old? is returning for a third series with a new format and new host, it has been announced.

The new series will see contestants pitted against their own children, with the title of the show being tweaked to Are You Smarter Than YOUR 10 Year Old?.

Additionally, TV newcomer Damian Williams will take over presenting duties on the 20-episode series from original hosts Dick and Dom.

Noel Edmonds is also returning to front the primetime version of the show, Noel's Are You Smarter Than YOUR 10 Year Old?, which has been given a new ten-episode order.

"It's fantastic news Noel's back for the new series and the jackpot has increased," said Sky1's Stuart Murphy. "And it's an honour to welcome Damian to the Are You Smarter and Sky1 family."

He continued: "I'm looking forward to bringing new faces to Sky1 and Damian is an untapped talent who will entertain our audience with his own inimitable style and humour."

The new new series will air on Sky1 and Sky1 HD later this year.
