Lord Windsor 'eyeing Sky Sports role'

Lord Freddie Windsor has reportedly auditioned for a job presenting Sky Sports News.

According to The Sun, the royal stunned employees when he attended an interview and screen test at the company's West London headquarters last week.

"Our jaws nearly hit the floor. Freddie spent 45 minutes with the deputy managing director," explained one staff member.

"They tested him reading the autocue before quizzing him about his knowledge of football."

The 29-year-old is believed to have impressed bosses with his in-depth understanding of the sport and is now waiting to find out whether he has landed the job.

"It will be great to have a real-life royal working on the show," added the source. "A lot of telly presenters think they’re royalty, but only Sky will have the real deal."

Windsor, who is 31st in line to the throne, is currently dating Peep Show actress Sophie Winkleman.
