'Farm' under fire over pig masturbation
Five is facing yet more controversy today for airing a scene showing Rebecca Loos (David Beckham's former personal assistant and alleged mistress) masturbating a pig as part of the channel's latest reality series, The Farm.

Explicit footage of Loos arousing the animal by hand before collecting its semen in a flask - all for the purposes of insemination - went out in last night's episode of the show, watched by 1.4 million viewers.

Today the decision to broadcast the incident came under fire from DS forum members. "I thought it was unnecessary to show that, it wasn't even done on the farm the programme is taking place at but a neighbouring farm," said one poster. "There are certain things you can get along quite nicely in life without knowing and pig semen collecting is probably one of them." Others described the scene as "vile" and "gross."

A Five spokesman told the Media Guardian that Loos was chosen for the task by the show's vet and not by producers trying to grab ratings. "It is just a part of normal farm life," said the spokesman. "The point of the show is to demonstrate the day-to-day workings of a farm to an audience who are not necessarily familiar with the nitty gritty of rural life. Rebecca Loos was trained and shown exactly what to do in advance and a vet was monitoring the entire process from start to finish."

The network could find itself with more controversy tonight if it decides to air footage of another contestant, Debbie McGee, cleaning a horse's foreskin.
