BBC's harsh 'Challenge' in the pipeline
Published Saturday, Oct 9 2004, 15:12 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly
The BBC are planning a harsh new show which sees members of the public completing some of the world's toughest challenges alongside a team of experts.
Tasks on the show, titled The Challenge, will include the Atacama Crossing, which is a marathon in the world's driest desert, and a race to the North Pole, according to The Mirror today.
The show's main twist is that at some point in each challenge, an experienced member of the group will be eliminated and replaced by an ordinary member of the public. If their performance isn't up to scratch, then the whole team will fail.
