Katona, 28, has appeared in a number of fly-on-the-wall documentaries for the broadcaster since 2007. Her most recent series Kerry Katona: What’s The Problem? finished in July.
However, according to the Daily Star, MTV and the I'm A Celebrity... winner do not currently have any plans to work together again.
"There are no plans to do anything more with her on MTV at the moment," said a source. "The situation with Kerry is that she's such an all-encompassing celebrity that she literally takes over the world of everyone working on the channel.
"There's no time to concentrate fully on the other shows and it's not fair on anyone to make Kerry the sole focus."
The insider added: "All the attention is very difficult for her, and she has to deal with a lot on top of her bipolar."
