Kelly Osbourne has admitted that she was initially offended when she was offered the role of an overweight teenager on MTV's Life As We Know It.
She is quoted by Female First as saying, "I was like, 'I am not fat! I don't want to play the fat girl!'"
However, Kelly soon realised that by accepting the offer, she would be able to make a difference to people's lives.
She added, "If I did something like this, like for that little girl who lives in the midwest, who people make fun of because she doesn't have a flat stomach, I can make her feel good about who she is."
Kelly has now moved to Canada, where her new show is being filmed.
