12.6 million watch Murray's Wimbledon win

The extended coverage, which followed Murray's victory over Stanislas Wawrinka, averaged 8.5m (38.6%) between 7pm and 10.45pm, making the channel comfortably top of the ratings in primetime. The audience steadily increased throughout, peaking with 12.62m (53.5%) at 10.35pm.
Both BBC One and BBC Two experienced some schedule changes due to the match coverage. Panorama made the move to BBC Two, putting in 940k (4%) between 8.30pm and 9pm. Likewise, Crimewatch experienced a switch, grabbing 2.22m (9.3%) during the 9pm hour in its new home. The planned episode of BBC Two's Supersizers was bumped from the schedules.
Over on ITV1, a half-hour visit to Airline interested 2.35m (10.7%) at 8pm, and Real Crime, focusing on murdered teenager Sally Anne Bowman, put in 2.96m (12.4%) at 9pm.
Madonna And Mercy: What Really Happened? managed a lowly 600k (2.6%) for Channel 4 during the 8pm hour. A new series, Inside Nature's Giants followed, pulling in 1.03m (4.3%). The Big Brother highlights show attracted a disappointing 1.37m (6.6%) at 10pm, down around 1.57m from last year's equivalent episode and representing a decline of 53% year-on-year.
Five's Fifth Gear was seen by 592k (2.6%) at 8pm, then 824k (3.4%) tuned in for Build A New Life In The Country during the 9pm hour.
Overall, BBC One dominated primetime with an average share of 38.7% to ITV1's 18.3%. BBC Two was third with 9.5%, followed by Channel 4 with 4% (+1: 0.5%) and Five's 2.4%.
Elsewhere, E4's 90210 finale had 274k (1.2%) at 9pm, beating the final part of BBC Four's The Secret Life Of The Airport, which took 265k (1.3%) and Britain's Next Top Model, which pulled in 226k (1%) for Living.
