The series will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the moon landing, with each programme taking on the form of a news bulletin to report each day's events - but with a modern twist.
The shows will mix ITN's archive material about the mission with contemporary interviews and graphics using NASA's pictures.
John Suchet has been lined up to present each ten-minute programme, with Peter Snow, who was an ITN correspondent at the time of the landing, offering commentary on the technology behind the mission.
Additionally, Julie Etchingham will present ITV News At Ten from Cape Canaveral on July 20 and 21 to mark the anniversary of the moon landing.
