Published Wednesday, Oct 13 2004, 14:14 BST | By Daniel Saney
Music stalwart Cliff Richard is to co-host ITV's This Morning for a day during the half-term break, covering for regular presenters Philip Schofield and Fern Britten.
Sir Cliff has not presented before, but his friend and co-host-to-be has been giving him tips, and screen tests have gone well, according to an ITV source.
"We screen tested Sir Cliff and he was really good as a presenter.
"He will be on the sofa with Gloria Hunniford, who is a close friend, so they are a good double act.
"He has offered to sing on the show too — and producers are considering his offer."
