Teetotal transforms on 'Holiday Showdown'

A teetotal vegetarian underwent a complete transformation while appearing on ITV1's Holiday Showdown, according to The People today.

Chris Secks, along with his wife Olivia and four children, appeared on the show with the party-loving Jefferies family - Richard, his wife Lorraine, and their four children.

The show sees families with different lifestyles taking each other on their perfect holidays. Before the holiday, Chris hadn't drank alcohol in two years, and loved organic food, yoga and meditating.

However, within an hour of being introduced to the Jefferies family in Menorca, Chris starts drinking Bacardi rum. On the second day of the holiday, he goes on a 15-shot drinking session and wins the title of "biggest drinker of the night".

While drunk, he explains, "When in Menorca, do as the Jefferies do."

Chris also forgets about his love for healthy eating and joins the Jefferies family in eating several plates of chips during the course of the holiday - which leaves wife Olivia less than impressed.

His stepson Nathan says, "I think Chris is basically having the time of his life and enjoying himself like the days before my mother got hold of him."

The Jefferies family do not get into the spirit of Chris' ideal holiday - a retreat in southern France - in quite the same way. The newspaper claims that Claire Jefferies threatens to quit the show after being given lentil lasagne for dinner. She doesn't hold back on her opinion of the holiday, calling it "a heap of s***".
