Castaways return to mainland

The 29 participants of the BBC Castaway 2000 project have left the remote Scottish island of Taransay and returned to the mainland.
Upon arrival at Glasgow Airport, they bid farewell to each other, departing for their respective homes all over the country.
Castaway Peter Jowers from Gloucestershire said, "Of course it is sad to part from people with who you have made friends but then I am pleased to get away from some people which would be, I think, inevitable in any group of strangers. I am really, really looking forward to meeting my daughter Henrietta at home tonight."
Tammy Huff, 27, said, "It has been absolutely wonderful for us. It has been an absolutely fantastic year and I do not think you could ask for better."
