'Morning Line' moves to earlier slot

Channel 4's Saturday horseracing magazine The Morning Line will move to an earlier slot for the Winter months.

The network says that the shift to 8am, effective from November 13, will be more "suitable" for fans, especially race-goers who have to set out early to get to the tracks.

"The aim of this move is to allow more race-goers and Saturday shoppers to see the show before they have to leave the house," said David Kerr, head of sport at C4.

"It's something we've received a number of letters about over the years and we feel an earlier slot may work better for the show's natural audience. The programme's always had a 'breakfast-time' feel to it and will sit even better at 8.00am."

The Morning Line regularly draws audiences of up to 500,000 viewers.
