'Footballers' Wives' star gets new role

Footballers' Wives star Laila Rouass has been offered a role in a new BBC drama.
The Mirror reports that Laila, better known as Amber Gates on the ITV1 show, will star in Life Isn't All Ha-ha Hee-Hee, which is adapted from a book written by Meera Syal, who will also appear, alongside boyfriend Sanjeev Bhaskar.
The show follows three women who have been friends since high school, but their friendships are thrown into jeapordy when Sanjeev's character cheats on his wife (Meera) with Laila's character.
