Former Coronation Street star Julie Goodyear (Bet Lynch) has signed up to appear in the next series of Celebrity Fit Club, according to The People today.
62-year-old Julie, who has apparently hit 15 stone, hopes that the show will help her to get back into shape.
An ITV1 insider revealed, "Julie will be a brilliant addition to the show. Sparks are bound to fly when drill sergeant Harvey Walden puts her through her paces."
Other celebrities joining the show include Emmerdale's Steve Halliwell (Zac Dingle), World Darts champion Andy Fordham, and Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker. The newspaper also claims that producers are hoping to sign up Michelle McManus, who won the second series of Pop Idol.
Filming on the show will begin in January.
