Gigi Morley 'snubbed' by National Lottery

Published Sunday, Oct 24 2004, 12:05 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly
Sacked National Lottery presenter Gigi Morley has been told that she is not welcome at a party celebrating the 10th anniversary of the draw, according to the Sunday Mirror.

Gigi, who has recently been axed as the Lottery presenter, was originally invited to celebrate the anniversary of the show along with other ex-presenters. The newspaper claims that she even decided to buy a £5000 dress for the party.

However, she has now received a letter informing her that the invite was a mistake, and that she is not welcome at the celebrations. Friends of Morley apparently think that the letter is the result of a row over wages between Gigi and lottery operator Camelot.

One friend told the newspaper, "Gigi's absolutely heartbroken."
