Pillar of UK news Sir Trevor McDonald has announced that he is in talks with American TV networks following his decision to retire from ITV News.
He says that he has received 'interest' from US networks who would like him to present current affairs shows there. Trevor insists that he will continue to host Tonight.
"I'm not really into the idea of retiring completely," he said.
"TV is in my blood. I want to do more interviews in the current affairs field. I don't want to appear immodest but I've had offers, or shall we say interest, from America."
