Pat Sharp has said that he wants to bring back Fun House with a new adult twist.

The CITV children's gameshow ran for eleven series from 1989 to 1999 and Sharp is hopeful that TV producers will consider his proposal for an updated version of the show.

"It ended in 1999 because of some bad scheduling," he told DS. "It kept getting chopped and changed due to sporting events and they moved it around so people didn't know when it was on.

"Satellite dishes were on the increase as well, so the viewing figures were dropping at that time. But we are still looking at doing an adult version of the show, which has been talked about for quite a while."

He continued: "Maybe, someone will take a gamble on us. I don't know quite how the show would work, but I've suggested that it could make great Saturday night entertainment, in the style of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. It would hopefully be a grown-up version of what we did all those years ago and it could be brought up to date by the production companies."

Melanie and Martina Grant, who worked as cheerleaders on the original series, are reportedly currently working as a receptionist and waitress. They reunited with Sharp and worked together for the first time in ten years at the 1 vs. 100 Xbox Live launch earlier this month.
