US cable network Bravo has confirmed that Queer Eye for the Straight Girl will premiere in January 2005.
The spin-off series will feature four "Gal Pals" instead of the "Fab Five" - Robbie Laughlin ("The Look"), Danny Teeson ("The Life"), Damon Pease ("The Locale"), and Honey Labrador ("The Lady").
"We are thrilled to expand the Queer Eye franchise on Bravo," said the channel's president Lauren Zalaznick. "The Queer Eye phenomenon has left an indelible mark on popular culture today, and with the launch of a new series dedicated to 'make-better' straight women, we anticipate the phenomenon to continue. Queer Eye for the Straight Girl is sure to deliver all the humour, heart and relationship building that made its older brother such a success. Women everywhere should feel fortunate to have gal pals like these in their corner."
