My Friend Michael Jackson: Uri's Story pulled in 2.98m (12.5%) for ITV1 last night, according to the latest viewing figures.
The documentary, which followed Jackson as he visited Exeter Football Club and went on a midnight shopping spree at London's Harrods, came third during the 8pm hour.
It was beaten by BBC One's Hope Springs, which put in 3.78m (15.9%), and Top Gear, which took a respectable 7.17m (30.2%) for BBC Two.
Channel 4's Wife Swap managed 1.48m (1.99%), while Five's film fest kicked off with Charlie's Angels, which attracted 1.06m (4.7%) between 7.15pm and 9pm. Pistol Whipped followed, drawing 1.65m (8%) between 9pm and 11pm.
Rivers With Griff Rhys Jones led the 9pm hour, pulling in 4.71m (20%) for BBC One. Its nearest rival, BBC Two's On Thin Ice, had 3.28m (14.1%).
ITV1's Shane Richie drama Whatever It Takes grabbed 2.69m (12%), while Big Brother managed 1.99m (8.5%) for Channel 4.
Overall, BBC One came top during primetime with an average share of 19.3% to BBC Two's 16.3%. ITV1 was third with 14.6%, followed by Channel 4 with 5.9% (+1: 0.8%) and Five's 6.3%.
Elsewhere, Sky1's first House episode pulled in 759k (3.6%) at 9pm. 684k (4.3%) then tuned in for the second one during the 10pm hour.
