Schofield 'can't wait' to work with Holly

This Morning host Phillip Schofield has admitted that he "can't wait" to return to work in the autumn.

The presenter will be joined by his new co-star Holly Willoughby in September when the new series begins.

Willoughby was recently unveiled as the replacement for Fern Britton, who fronted her final episode earlier this month. She had announced her intention to quit for family reasons in March.

Writing to fans online yesterday, Schofield revealed: "Holly has made a flying visit to the This Morning set to have some pictures taken on that famous sofa.

"She got a great welcome from the team when she came to the studio and it was great to be able to show her around. Champagne was popped and flowers handed over. We can't wait to get back on the telly in September."

Schofield and Willoughby have previously worked together on ITV1's reality hit Dancing On Ice.
