Piers Morgan has said that he would love to interview George W. Bush on his Life Stories chatshow.
The Britain's Got Talent judge said that he would like "16 or 17 hours" with the former US president to discuss his impact on American and global politics.
"When I saw the Frost/Nixon movie recently I thought God, it would be great to have 16 or 17 hours with someone like George Bush to really understand what he did to America and how it all played out for the world," he told TalkSport.
"America went from being the world's benevolent superpower that everyone looked up to and respected and during George W. Bush's eight-year reign it had collapsed in popularity, gone to war with everyone and made America a quite unpopular country."
He continued: "For someone like me who works out there a lot, I spend four months every year there, and who loves America and Americans I found it really dispiriting."
Richard Madeley, Sharon Osbourne and Katie Price are among Morgan's former guests on Life Stories.
