Controversial Aussie comedy show ends

As the first series of The Chaser's War on Everything came to a close last night, its creators promised that they will be back soon with a new spin on comedy.
The ABC show, which recently came under fire for filming a sketch that appeared to make fun of terminally ill children, is due to return at some point next year.
At the end of the final show, cast member Andrew Hansen had a final dig at critics, saying: "If you watched and loved the show, thank you very much and to the other 19 million of you, screw you."
Teammate Julian Morrow added: "It is the end of the war but not the end of the Chaser. For better or worse we hope to return to your screens in the not-too-distant future with a brand new type of show."
The programme's critics include Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, who said that the makers should "hang their heads in shame".
