ITV targets Trisha's launch on Five

Chatshow queen Trisha Goddard is to go head-to-head with herself.

The presenter, who is moving from ITV to Five as part of a £3m deal, is currently working to the end of her contract at ITV, by filming new episodes of her morning show.

However, ITV bosses are apparently planning to hold back the new episodes until next year, when Trisha's new show begins on Five. The move means that new episodes of her show will be on two different channels at the same time.

An insider told the Sunday Mirror, "It's going to be so confusing for the viewers - Trisha will be on ITV and Five at the same time, presenting virtually the same show.

"Five signed her up with the hope of keeping her exclusively on their channel so fans would click over to watch.

"But if she is still on ITV diehard fans will probably stick to what they know."

In the meantime, repeats of the talkshow will air on ITV1 in the 9.30am slot.
