'Bo Selecta' plans Michael Jackson tribute

E4 has commissioned a one-off Bo' Selecta show to pay tribute to the late Michael Jackson, it has been announced.

Cha'Mone: A Tribute To Michael Jackson will see Leigh Francis revive his Jackson mask and persona, as well as feature new characterisations of Uri Geller and David Gest.

Head of E4 Angela Jain said: "We’re thrilled to have Leigh resurrect Bo' Selecta for a very special send-off, send-up. This national treasure and icon will be making an affectionate and no doubt hilarious tribute to Mr Jackson."

Francis added: "People likened it to the death of Elvis Presley or John Lennon. To me it was like the death of superman, or the realisation that there was no such thing as Santa Claus.

"How could a staple of my childhood be no more? I wonder if Michael Jackson had ever seen Bo’ Selecta!? This is my tribute to the King of Pop."

The special show is due to air later this year on E4.
