Latest 'Dragons' Den' draws 3.1 million

The latest episode of Dragons' Den pulled in a respectable 3.11m (13.3%) for BBC Two in the 9pm hour on Wednesday night, according to early figures.

The latest run of the business series has averaged 3.01m (13%) across its four episodes to date. On Wednesday it was beaten by Midsomer Murders, which had 5.85m (26.7%) for ITV1 between 8pm and 10pm.

Also ahead in the 9pm slot was Who Do You Think You Are? - this week featuring comedian David Mitchell - with 4.06m (17.4%).

The latest Big Brother took 1.82m (7.8%) for Channel 4, with a further 470k (2.9%) on timeshift, while Five movie Until Death put in 1.05m (5.2%) from 9pm.

In the 8pm hour, BBC Two's Economy Gastronomy educated 1.76m (8.6%) but was outrated by Location Location Location, with 2.3m (11.2%) for Channel 4. Five's Megastuctures: Miami Demolition appealed to 888k (4.3%).

On BBC One, Wildest Dreams interested 2.62m (14.2%) between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, then Seaside Rescue picked up 2.71m (12.7%) in the latter half of the 8pm hour.

ITV1 took the lead in primetime overall with an average share of 24.3% to BBC One's 17.1%. Channel 4 was third with 7.9% (+1: 1.3%), followed by BBC Two with 7.8% and Five with 4.3%.

Elsewhere, topical BBC Four documentary Spanish Flu: The Forgotten Fallen was seen by 639k (3%) at 9pm.
