Kim Cattrall's appearance on last night's Who Do You Think You Are? saw a huge increase in the show's ratings, according to overnight viewing figures.
The 9pm show, in which Sex And The City star Cattrall returned to Liverpool to explore her family history, pulled in a respectable 5.87m (25.3%) for BBC One.
It beat David Mitchell's episode, which drew 4.06m (17.4%) last Wednesday, but failed to top the series high of 6.43m (26.6%) for the first episode, featuring Davina McCall.
Earlier on BBC One, Wildest Dreams logged 3.03m (15.8%) between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, then 3.25m (15.2%) tuned in for the half-hour Seaside Rescue.
The second episode of BBC Two's Economy Gastronomy drew 1.86m (8.9%) during the 8pm hour, then 2.68m (11.6%) watched Dragons' Den at 9pm.
ITV1's live coverage of England's match against the Netherlands averaged 5.7m (26.9%) between 7.30pm and 10.10pm.
Over on Channel 4, Location, Location, Location managed 2.57m (12.4%) during the 8pm hour, while the 9pm Big Brother highlights show had 1.79m (7.7%). A further 473k (3.1%) tuned in on Channel 4+1. Later, at 10pm, Ugly Betty pulled in 1.24m (7.2%).
Five's Nicolas Cage rom-com It Could Happen To You took 721k (3.3%) between 8pm and 10pm.
Overall, ITV1 came top during primetime with an average share of 23.9% to BBC One's 21.3%. BBC Two had 9.3%, remaining fairly even with Channel 4's 8% (+1: 1.3%), and Five followed with 3.6%.
