The six-part series, originally broadcast on ITV in 1999, follows a group of survivors looking for answers after a meteorite wipes out most of the British population.
The cult show drew ratings of over 9 million on its first airing and has long been the subject of a forum petition for a repeat showing.
Sci-Fi has yet to confirm an exact slot for the series, although it is expected to air as part of the channel's New Year lineup.
