Gretel Killeen will make a return to Australian television next week, reports The Daily Telegraph.
The former host of Australia's Big Brother will fill in for The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies in a move industry insiders are claiming is an "unofficial audition" for Channel Seven.
In 2007, Killeen was axed as host of Big Brother and replaced by controversial radio identities Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O.
Meanwhile in May, Killeen hosted the 51st Annual TV Week Logie Awards to disastrous reviews.
The 46-year-old author and TV personality will be one of five presenters to front the show with co-host Larry Emdur in Gillies's absence. Home and Away actress Ada Nicodemu, singer Kate Cebrano, swimmer Stephanie Rice and former Today Tonight host Naomi Robson will also share hosting duties.
Killeen will make her The Morning Show debut on Friday, September 18.
